MgF2 Crystals
Magnesium Fluoride (MgF2) crystal is harder and tougher than Calcium Fluoride (CaF2), but relatively soft and somewhat hygroscopic compared with Fused Silica. And it is good to resistant to mechanical and thermal shock, to radiation, and is chemically stable.
Magnesium Fluoride is grown by vacuum Bridgman-Stockbarger technique in ingots of various diameters, but 100mm is standard we provide. We can supply high quality Magnesium Fluoride single crystals of VUV and IR grade MgF2 material.
We can provide windows, mirrors, lens, prisms, polarizer, wedges, substrates and other optical components according to customers’ specifications and drawings.
